In 1967, James and Helen Pitts planted the seeds of what would become Sugar Plum Farms. For over five decades, they worked side by side in the mountains of Avery County, nurturing Fraser firs and creating cherished holiday memories for countless families.
Today, their son Darrell and his wife Sharon carry the tradition forward — honoring James and Helen's legacy while growing the farm into something even more special. From choose-and-cut Christmas trees to year-round nursery offerings, Sugar Plum Farms remains what it's always been: a family welcoming families.
